We want to hear your proposal

Are you a local artist, writer, thinker or organization that could benefit receiving a micro-grant from the citizens of Grande Prairie? Then apply to present at the next gpsoup gathering!

All proposals should not only benefit the recepient, but by and large benefit the citizens of Grande Prairie. We are looking to fund not only practical choices but also unusual endeavors. We want people thinking outside of the box for their proposals. Make it local, forward-thinking and sustainable.

Most grant programs take months to process. gpsoup funds the recepient(s) immediately to provide the seed money required to make change happen NOW.

All accepted propsals will be given a five minute allotment at the following gpsoup gathering. In that five minutes you are asked to explain to the room why your idea or project will benefit Grande Prairie.

How will your idea change the we look at our city? How will your idea make Grande Prairie a better city to live in? Ultimately, how will your idea bring together the citizens of Grande Prairie?


As you craft your proposal, please consider the following:

 •Who are your audience/grantors and how are you reaching them?

 •What is essential?  How can you communicate  your idea in 5 minutes?

 •We will provide a microphone and nothing else - how will you engage your audience and sell your idea?

 •How do you plan to spend your grant?

 •What is your approximate project timeline?

 •If you are selected, how will you present your progress at the next GPSOUP?

 •What other resources and support will you need to accomplish your project?
